On Saturday the 10th of December 2005, MITC participated in an event known as the International Volunteer Day (IVD).  The event provides an opportunity for volunteers to participate in projects and campaigns at the local, national, and international levels, in order to promote economic and social development via volunteer organizations.

On Tuesday the 23rd of June 2005, the Mobile Information and Technology Club made an appearance in the Aswan governorate.  The opening of the MITC in Aswan proved to be highly successful in both attendance and ICT diffusion.
